Let's just be real about this. Tuesday sucked. It was a multitude of things: hormonal havoc, work stress, and the weight of the final week of daycare bearing down chief among them. So finding something fun to do within all of that... no, scratch that, even WANTING to do anything resembling fun after all of that just was not happening.
Day 22
This was the aforementioned day. I fed Nate green beans, macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets for dinner. How does that qualify as fun? Well, simply because he loves it and it's fun to watch him shovel the food into his mouth. Yes, this is my life. Then we laughed heartily over several rounds of "This little piggy" then laughed some more at his bedtime story before he finally went to bed. I could list those things as fun every day, really (because those are the most fun moments of nearly every day), but on that particular, moody, difficult-to-sludge-through day, those moments were a shining light.
Day 23
I methodically worked my way through most of this stack of magazines. Do you love magazines? I do - and I never buy them anymore because of 1 - the expense and 2 - I'm never sure I'll have time to look at them. But these I borrowed from my sister and enjoyed every page of.
As for the "best" (of bad, better, best) - that's today. Today's been great... but who knows, there still might be more fun to come (is't possible??) so that post will have to wait...
