Day 10
I sat on the couch and read after dinner. I had missed Nate's bedtime (boo, work) so I made myself a quickie grilled cheese dinner and instead of turning on the TV and zoning out, I opted to read for a bit. After a while, I did turn on the TV (bad habits die hard) but I love reading, too, and really want to finish my Flatiron book since I have two more books waiting to be read! If I could sum up good things in life, it would include cheese and books - so there we have it.
Day 11
I got my hair cut! No before and after pictures (I know, bad blogger, bad!). But I hate taking self-photos. I love going to the salon, though, and I love that I have finally found a hairdresser I love once again.
Day 12
It might seem like my parents had the fun this day (and boy, did they) but on my end, it's incredibly fun listening to my parents talk about the fun they have with Nate. (I had to work in the morning, so they babysat him for four hours.) I love even more when six or seven hours later, I get an email from my mom telling me that they're still laughing about something Nate did. It brings my heart such joy.
Yes, that's Nate, out for a walk with Pop-Pop... in his plaid pajama pants and brown sandals. I can't decide if it's senior citizen chic or college student hip. He's either going to the diner for the early bird special or he's headed to an 8am calculus class.
Day 13
Nate and I colored with crayons!
Okay, so he might have bitten off a hunk of a crayon here or there and also colored on the floor a little, but that's why the crayons are non-toxic and washable, right? I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't considering framing these beautiful scribbles.
